I am in the process of repairing the pto on a 300 utility. My question is the bolt torque specs when I replace the transmission cover. I looked up a generic torque spec chart on line for different grade bolts. The spec chart has oiled and unoiled, the oiled being a lower value. I always thought one torqued bolts lightly oiled to the grade spec.
When you torque main caps on a chevy engine at 90 or so ftlbs it was oiled. Knowing a chevy is a lot different than a 60 yr old tractor, bolt torque is bolt torque.
