IH 424 three point controll

Hi guys, the three point lift control started leaking after some heavy use this past storm. Must have raised the back blade a few thousand times. I'm guessing that the large crown nut will release it so I can see what is going on. Is there anything I need to watch for when I pull it apart? I'm guessing there is a shaft seal in the housing. It is a 1967 Gas with power steering and draft control.

I have a 424, and THANKFULLY have never had this issue.

First thing I would check is that the hydraulic reservoir has not become overfull with engine oil or water.

If hydraulic oil level is OK and repairs are needed, Poul can bring up a parts breakdown/diagram at the link below.

Hi, you can get it off ok, but just do it piece by piece, and if they aren't marked - make sure you mark where they come from. Easy to get things out of line.

Thanks Rex, I will be careful. Bob that is a great site, thanks a lot.
I will mess with this when it dries up around here. We went from tow feet of snow to rain and everything is a muddy slushy mess.
