PS Connections on 1256

Hi,
Can someone tell me how to connect the PS hud hoses to the 6 port steering pilot valve body on a 1256 IH?
Currently the hand pump, pilot valve, and cylinder are connected, but not connected up properly as there is no PS pressure and return lines connected to the tractor. It is hosed-up so it is just internal to itself and the result is no PS, just steering. The recent 34" of snow almost killed me trying to steer the loader full of snow.
And actually I'm not sure if any of the hud hoses are correct.
It uses a Ross P42999 pump, V12999 valve body. The cylinder I can't tell as it is somewhat bent.

Thanks for your time.

Below is a link to the hydraulic diagram in the parts book, but I doubt it will be of much help as it is not clear in the steering valve area.

What, exactly are you confused about, which is the inlet port and which is the outlet port at the steering valve, IIRC, the supply and return ports are through the body of the tractor? Or, aren't they on a 1256?

Thanks, that drawing should do it.
The valve had no connections to the tractor supply and return. That is missing, and I can tell the connections from your diagram. My setup had the supply and return lines are on a 'T' connecting 2 ports to the same hyd return line.

Also, I find this strange configuration on my (hate to say it on this forum) Ford 1841 tractor. Apparently the poor factory cable steering was replaced with this setup from a IH 1256. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out where to get seal parts until I noticed an 'IH' logo on the underside of the steering wheel. Apparently a previous owner was more a practical repairman than a purist.
