German 310 Diesel Question

Trying to help a young man out who is working on his 756 German Diesel in FFA. He has not received his manuals yet, but is trying to get the injector pump off and into a shop to be rebuilt. It is appearing like he is having trouble getting the pump off. Is there a bolt, or pin or something that is hidden from view, or any certain trick. I know the diesel shop told him how to time the tractor/pump before taking the pump off, but now he can't get the pump off. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks - Bob

Pull the ft. cover off on the timing cover and remove what ever is on the ft of the shaft . Now being brain dead this morning i can not see in my head if there is just one NUT or three bolts. So forgive me on that. You may have to use a harmonic balancer puller to press the shaft out of the timing gear . There are just two mounting bolts holding the pump to the timing cover . But the shaft is stuck in the timing gear as it is a tapper shaft with key.

I have had the one off on my old 715 a number of times. There are two studs or bolts on the out side on both sides of the pump that you have to take off, then take the inspection cover off the front cover and there is a nut on the shaft. take it off and then use a gear puller to push the shaft out of the gear. It does had a half moon key but should come out with the shaft.
