Could a Super M rear end with disc brakes be a good replacement if installed on an M that need a new tranny that has band Bakes? I'm thinking that may be a problem? And maybe other stuff I would never think of. Any help from the good people here on YT would be much appreciated.

Personally, I prefer the band brakes, but other than that, the swap should work.

Quite a few improvements in a rear end for a Super M vs a straight M. The Super M has a faster 2nd, 3rd, &
4th gears. The pilot bearing in the transmission is much heavier, stronger, and lasts much longer pulling
hard in 4th gear. Then the disk brakes. They take a little more maintenance to keep working than the band
brakes on an M, but they aren't as bad as some people say unless they have really been abused and never
maintained.
