Farmall 706 Update / Light Switch Question

Hope everyone is having a good New Years. I posted a while back about a 706 i'm rebuilding and wanted to give an update. Got everything on engine put together today and went to fire it up. Turned over about 1 revolution and it was running! Sounded great, good oil pressure, and no leaks. Let it run for awhile shut it off and retorqued head and set valves.

Now on to lights. . The previous owner put on some aftermarket gauges and jacked with alot of the wiring. Got most things to work except light switch.

Owners manual diagram looked like power got to switch from junction block. Looked at another from cngo (spelling?) And looks like there is a BAT terminal on back of switch.

So 1st question is, does power come from junction block or Green wire to BAT terminal? That will probably answer my next question.

Next question. When the switch it off, there should be NO power to any of the terminals, correct? But there is. My guess is that junction block should not be providing juice to switch, and that is my problem. There is a wire from back of gauge cluster to junction block - providing juice to block then to switch on another terminal besides BAT. Am I diagnosing this correctly?

Thanks-Matt

Power comes from the junction block, through the fuse assembly and then on to the BAT terminal of the switch. That should be the only power source for the switch.

Looks like TAN goes from junction block to
Instrument spade on switch. GREEN goes to
BAT and comes from fuse housing on the
diagram I have now. See picture below.
