International 460 Splitting Problems

I am parting out a International 460 gas. The engine and the clutch are seized up. I am trying to pull the engine out, but it won't come out, like something is holding it up. I was able to pull it out a half inch away from the transmission, but thats it. We tried prying on it with a 5 foot bar and hooked a chain to the engine and tried pulling it out. My local mechanic told me its probably a seized up pilot bearing and that I would have to cut the input shaft. Any other suggestions??
 
Throught out bearing hung up?If it were the pilot,I dont think it come out that far...I't just bound up. Just keep wiggleing,working.A bit here,a bit there. It will come apart.Jack up a bit,lower a bit.wiggle with a bar on each side. Use two people.....A bit of finess will work better than brute force....A straight pull will just bind up tighter and break something.You ARE 100% sure ALL the bolts are out?
 
If it moved 1/2 inch, more likely the hub of the clutch disk than the pilot bearing. Maybe you can spray some penetrating oil onto the hub.
 
Hadn't thought of that. The LPTO drive is worn and catching on the pressure plate. Turn the PTO or engine backward.
 
I've had that happen to me before. Did you try to turn the crankshaft back and forth while prying on the motor and pushing the clutch pedal down all at the same time?
 
To be 1/2" apart assume 2 1/2" bolts are out at top of bell housing by starter mount. Could you unbolt press plate from flywheel and pull eng out?
 
The engine is stuck so I can't spin it over. I was able to reach up and unbolt the clutch/pressure plate from the flywheel but it is so rusted on and I can't get a pry bar up there. Like I said, I was able to pry and wiggle it out a 1/2". I'm going to try to put some wedges in between the engine and transmission to force them apart. Thanks!
