Super M rescue.

Sorry about the duplicate pics guys. Been awhile since I've posted pics. And have slow internet! Anyway... another question. When I go to pull the massive transmission top cover, do they still make a gasket for that? Or do we just go with black silicone gasket maker? Have to take a look/see in there, just to see whats what. And clean it all out. Thanks guys...

I got mine from the local CIH dealer for my 53 Super M. I would not go back to using just silicone unless I just had to.

I was able to buy one from the Case IH dealer about two years ago. At that time, I could also get the gasket that goes under the belt pulley drive, which now is unavailable from them or anyone else that I can find. Perhaps there is no one making them today and when the stock is gone it's gone. A good gasket maker - sealer is probably sufficient.

When I pulled my cover, I reinstalled with black rtv. Never a leak since. Just be sure the surfaces are totally clean before applying.

Case IH can supply. Put one heck of a bead of RTV gasket sealer on the transmission surface, seat gasket then a bead on top of gasket. It will seal and you will not have to disassemble a completed repair or worst yet a restoration. Been there done that!
