Help with identifying this IH Fast Hitch Plow and putting a value on it would be appreciated. The plow is complete, shares and points are in good condition.

I think that's a C-20 Plow.

No idea what bottoms is has on it though, they don't look like anything I've dealt with before.

Thanks for your help. I am not a plow expert but the bottoms look like they are in good condition and are not cracked anywhere that I can see. What do you think?

Looks like my C-20 but don't know what those bottoms came off of.. Mine doesn't have the correct bottoms either. Think your missing your rear wheel. Gave $250 for mine close to 20 years ago.

Thanks for the pictures of your beautiful tractor and two point equipment. Years ago I also had a fast hitch rear scraper blade that I used with a Super C I had. Loved how I could use the down pressure to grade my driveway, was also very handy for lifting the rear of the tractor off the ground.

The bottoms on this plow are ACE bottoms with ACE 7 or 8 shares. This bottom was produced in Hamilton Ontario plant and the shares are still available through the after market here in Ontario. I have a Hamilton produced plow the C-214 on a Super C that also has these bottoms and shares.

(quoted from post at 23:49:33 11/24/15) George,
How well do the ACE shares work in the soil?

Most of the IH plows back then had either HA, GA, ACE, or REX bottoms. The HA was the forerunner of the Super Chief HSCXN that is still used. It is a short bottom that pulverizes the soil well but doesn't work that well in heavy clay sod. The GA bottom I am not familiar with. The ACE was a long winding sod bottom that did not pulverize the sod very much but worked extremely well in sod. It also did a good job of pulverizing stubble. It was usually used in 10, 12, or 14 inch width of cut. Many of the sod plows used in eastern Canada and in certain heavy clay areas of northern Ohio used this bottom. The REX was a bottom used in Britain mostly. I have never seen any anywhere in North America. As a youth I plowed many acres using a ACE bottom equipped plow. BTW the match plowing guys still use the ACE moldboard and have good luck in competitions using it. So in summary, if you are using it in clay soil for both sod and stubble it will do a good job. Both shares and moldboards are still available on the aftermarket here in Ontario. Probably the right tractor to use that plow with would be a Super C with Fast Hitch, 200, or 230 model tractor. One thing I noticed was that the American C20 plow did not have a straightener lever on it like the Canadian version of that plow did. Instead it has a bolt adjustment to limit the width of cut on the first moldboard.

Hey crazy I would be interested in the plow if you are selling them. Do you have an email?

Yes I would consider selling them. Look for them on flea bay or VT craigslist. My contact info can be found there. My email for this account needs to he changes as I lost the password.
