Regular/F20 heads

Yes as long as it is for flat belt fan. V belt will need the F-20 head with the hole for that! oldiron29

The Regular head is not square at the front, As where the F-20 head for V belt Had a flat surface at the front to receive the v belt mounting braket and pulley.
What is wrong with the F-20 head? oldiron29

F20 head is cracked coming out of one exhaust seat and there is another crack in the face of the head that the head gasket will probably seal up. He would plug the end of that crack to keep it from spreading. I told the machine shop to hold off on fixing it till I find out if this Regular head I have will work. I have no idea what shape the Regular head is in. Thanks for alerting me to the difference in the two heads.

Check the regular head. One of my projects is an F20 with a Regular block with the later style head. Like Old said, a later head will have holes
drilled in it for the fan mounting.

I would call around you might find an F-20 head in useable condition for not to much cash. Nebraska cowman 308-367-4687

Thanks for the numbers. We used to have a bunch of F20's sitting in groves in my area but most have been cleaned up. I do know where another late F20 is in my neighborhood but I have my eye on it for restoration if he will sell. It has an aftermarket starter and I think hydraulics if I remember right. This one I'm working on has an aftermarket hydraulic pump and reservoir driven off the front of the transmission. Do you know anything about one of these units?
