Hello All,
A coworker is helping me with tractor maintenence due to my illness. Nice guy too! Replace or repair the radiator.
Then I'll be able to have it outside protected from freezing.
He was talking with the implement dealer who mentioned that the hydr. pump might be a good candidate for a rebuild.
what say you people?

is there anything wrong with the pump now? does it have the right flow and pressure? if it is at least 75-80% of rated leave it alone. if you are having issues then just replace it with a new one
 
No rebuild really possible. You can replace the seals and O-rings but if bushings are worn, they are part of the thrust plates and never have been available. Would cost as much as a new pump anyway and those pumps now are out of this world. If it works, doesn't leak, I would not touch it. If it does leak, seals may help if shaft if ok.
 
Is it just making low pressure or is air getting in the lines. I had a line leak up by the spool valves.
