Installation of F4 Magneto in place of E4A on a Regular

Located a good F4 magneto to replace the seized E4A on my 1929 Regular.
Using the F4, there's about 1" gap between the coupler and the magneto drive. The 1st picture shows the difference between the 2, the 2nd shows the original E4A in place.
Do I need a different coupling disc, or is this not going to work? My research on this site said it's a straight across swap.... so I am missing something here.

As Farmall Danny said change the drive out of the gov., it is a keyed shaft. There make a long and short drive depending on the mag you are useing. oldiron29
