A few weeks ago I posted on trouble with a rebuilt 686 starter not fitting. Several replied Owen Aaland hit the nail on the head the rebuilder had put the wrong nose cone on the starter but had the correct part number. It took awhile but the dealer and the re=builder finally got it right and now the tractor is starting fine. Thanks to all who helped.

Well at least they lived up to their mistake, and fixed it for u, A lot of dealer's think of their customers as a money tree.
