head studs

Im getting ready to put the head on my 350 diesel. I
have gotten great advice about the use of copper
coat from this forum thanks everyone. What is
recommended for the head studs? After I clean up all
the threads do I treat them with anything before I put
them in the block? Use just some oil or antiseize?
How tight do you put them in the block? Thanks
everyone. Joel

The studs should have sealer on them if going into the water jacket, put lube on the threads before putting nuts on.

That is a sore subject for me, had some ARP studs that were trouble seeing.

I would use Loctite thread sealer.

Clean the studs and bolt holes good with brake cleaner to remove all oil before sealing.
