what year and model is my IHC tractor

All I have to work with is a serial number 10481 S to help figure out what I have. I'll try to get a picture soon but guessing its a mid 50's 20-35 hp (2 wheel rear drive), 4 cyl. gas with a torque amplifier. Any advice would be appreciated.

Best advice I can offer now is to get pictures posted ASAP, as there are numerous models of IHC tractors that match that description.

If it has the seat near back of transmission housing and it's not a diesel. Look above the oil filter on the engine block for raised letter and number. C-169 = farmall 300, C-175 = 350, C-264 = 400, C-281 = 450. If smaller than 38 inch diameter rear rims the engine size would be for a utility model or a 400 or 450 standard tractor instead of a farmall model. If no engine size numbers above fit it could be a 340 or 504 model but they are probably newer than you said.

Kelly,
The TractorData website has a wealth of info on these old tractors including pictures. You might be able to start
limiting the possibilities by looking at photos there.

Have you heard of tractor-data.com? They show you a picture of most of the models. Might help you
narrow it down. To post pictures on here newer users generally have the ask for permission. Place
the request on the site comments board titled Attn: Kim and make your plea. Set up this way to

340 utility did and the 240 or 404 didn't have a t/a so that knocks them out. Would also narrow it down if posted what side of the tractor the serial number plate was on and the rear tire size. 4 or 6 cylinder.

i believe u have a super W6 TA . the TA models start at # 10,000 to 13005. only 3005 of these tractors built in
1954. it was replaced by the w400. very good good collector tractor.

Thanks for the advise! I think it is a 1957 IHC 350 Wheatland 45 hp. I saw pictures that are very close, it has the wrap around fenders tire sizes match as does wheel base and serial number plate location. it has C-175 cast in the block above the oil filter. The only thing that is different is that the air filter stack doesn't come up thru the hood....mine only has louvres...not sure if that's just variation within the model but all the rest matches up. I am looking for more pictures to help verify it....Any suggested websites? I've looked at quite a few.

Thanks
Kelly

The 300 and 350 are almost identical. If you clean carefully on your serial tag, you may be able to make out the model.

Maybe you looked at a picture of a wheatland with a diesel engine. Think diesel are the only ones through hood.
Thinking front axle has no width adjustments.
That's a pretty rare model.

Well, i have a 340 utility with a 10, xxx sv serial number , it's a 61, bought new by a neighbor, the last one built was a 1963,12,238 and as far as louvers a lot of them are cosemtic only, like the ones in the hood of the 806.
