quick question on cub

does a regular cub [ 1958] and a cub lowboy use the same flywheel and ring gear? i need one and found one off a lowboy, im thinking there the same but asking just in case

Will work so long as the low boy is not a number series, some of them used starter generator and did not have a ring gear. If you need ring gear because starter is jamming remove your ring gear and turn it 1/4 round so it stops in a different spot.

i have heard that motors will stop at the same place, most of the time. thanks for confirming.
