I finally got round to looking at the 3 point hitch on the Hydro 70 I have had for almost a year and found that the little input shaft on the hitch pump was sheared off. A couple of questions for putting this back together. I see there are light and heavy gaskets to set the gear spacing but I don't see a procedure in my book, just measure the old one and put the same back? Where the shaft sheared off I'm concerned about the relief valve, is there any way to test it prior to putting in the new pump? I just don't want to wreck the new one. Anything else I need to know?
