Got the f14 home today!!

Finally brought the 38 f14 home today. Nice original straight old tractor. The only issues is that engine is lock up. Cylinders look clean and no rust hoping to get it freed up soon. Was going to use pb blaster and ATF fluid and keep my fingers crossed. Also got a belt pulley/ full set of complete cultivators and original manuals. I need another tractor like I need a hole in my head! Lol price was right and I also like nice original tractor like that! My first f series farmall and the oldest one in my 13 farmall tractor collection!!

I've got one that is also a 38 model to play with. I have a hydraulic lift on mine. I use it to rake hay and I've had it on the corn sheller a few times. I've cultivated corn with it a few times but the cultivators are manual lift - gets real old after a few rows.

1) Turn the mag off (lever all the way up).
2) Jack up one rear wheel & firmly block the tractor to hold the wheel up.
3) ATF/Acetone 50/50 mixture in the cylinders. Let it soak for a day.
4) Day 2: Tractor in 3rd gear, gently rock the wheel back & forth & watch for movement of the fan. No movement? Refill the ATF/Acetone mixture and try again another day.
5) Day 3: Repeat Day 2 event.

If the cylinders are that clean, it probably isn't stuck too bad, but time is your friend. Try this for a couple weeks before you get too radical.

Have fun !
