Hi, I have a Farmall C with a bad tank, hole in the bottom is bigger than the hole in the top. No a guy parting a Super C will that tank fit a regular C ? I no the tank sits higher on the SC is it just the bracket that are taller? C tank bolts top top of hydraulic unit with 4 bolt. I see they are different part #, Can someone tell me the difference. Thanks oldiron29

The tanks on the C and Super C are completely different the way that they mount. I have one of each in stock if you need one.

Never paid any attention to a C, on my Super C it has 2 front and 2 rear bolts. On the rear it is 2 I/4 inches from the tank bottom to the center of the bolt, think you could redrill the rear tank brkts. and the front of the tank should bolt on to your old brkt.

You can make the Super C tank work on the C by modifying the bracket. Otherwise, the tanks are the same. You could also fix your tank. It is really not that hard. Just weld a patch over the hole if it is large. Then clean the tank out with acid and pour in a tank sealer like RedKote from O'Reilly's or other similar locations.

Will nickel-silver or brazing do to attach the patch? I expect to have a similar problem in the future and currently have problems with the oil cup pitted through on the air cleaners on several tractors both Farmall and Fordson. I would buy new ones, but my money has to go higher priority and the cost of them is well---ot.

I know a person who has or at least had a tank that would fit that that C of yours. He lives near Sarnia Ontario Canada. If you are interested I could forward his number to you. The Tank was totally re paired and tested to specs ( I exchanged it with him for a different type of tank)
