What would be the value of a 1979 140 with fert
dist/cultivators that has never been used. Bought new and
parked in bldg.

location and does it run are the tires flat and rotted ect the list goes on and on ned more info than you have given valu could be scrap and up.

(quoted from post at 21:20:03 10/08/15) Tires are up. No rust, minor paint blisters here and there.

Do you know if it runs? Has it been started recently? The tires might hold air, but do they look good? Are they age cracked?

Poor tires will reduce the price over $1000. A non-runner, no matter how good it looks, also hurts value substantially.

Pictures would make this easy, you have looked on the classified here and other places I would assume , a late 140 straight metal with tools or without will bring 3000 and up , I have seen people ask 3 time that . I am not looking to pay that price , I like the early ones better.

As in the tractor is NOS? I would say 5 figures. I only know of one 140 like that and unless something is changed, it can't be bought.

All the prices people seem to think its worth when we dont even know if it will start and run gas tank is probably a mess if its been setting in a shed that long before you get your hope up get it to start and run.

The most expensive 140 I've seen around here was $5000 with full cultivators and a planter in excellent running condition and decent paint.

run of the mill 140's are high here (wny)
usually over $3k. I don't own one, thousand dollar SA
is the same basic tractor, so I buy those.

but, your description...tell us more.
any tractor/vehicle taken from the showroom to a building and parked......value can skyrocket....no matter what it is.

Yes it would be NOS. I dont think its been cranked since it was parked in 1979. I do know that he's been turning the eng over from time to time so its not stuck. I agree with everyone on the ? as to value with no pictures. I am almost positive that once it is running that the leaks will begin. Trans and rear end bearings would concern me as they've been sitting out of oil for 30+ years. If I was to buy it IDK if I should just leave it be in its current state or begin fixing leaks. One like this you hate to break it open.
