I am supposing to remove the front cover on the block to remove the crank the belt pulley has to be removed first with a pulley puller. Thanks, Steve

Yes. Don't use a jaw puller since this will
break the pulley instead use the polar that
splits in half and goes behind the pulley
and then you fall on that floor which falls
on the hub of the pulley before you put it
back on the tractor make sure that you keep
pulling up in the oven to about 200 degrees
and it will slide right on they don't pull
off your easy button to eat them up they
will go back on fairly easy.

Years ago I made a puller for those pulleys. I took 2 pieces of 1/2 inch plate and cut a U in each ot hem and then drilled 2 bolt holes in them so a guy could slip them over the pulley and bolt them together. Then I used a gear puller on the plate. Worked well and cost me almost nothing since I had the steel plate laying around any how
