Hi I have a buddy thinking about buying a 504 and was wondering if you guys had any good or bad things to say about the tractor?

Pretty darn good, The engine is not a sleeved engine. it has pistons running directly in the block iron, similar to most typical automotive engines. They are thus more difficult to rebuild due to the need to bore the cylinder and use oversized pistons. If it runs well, and you have given it a load to work it and it doesn't smoke, It is OK. Jim
