Why don't you buy a new sleeve kit that has new pistons and rings. Take the old connecting rods to your local auto machine shop and have them install the new pistons. They will make sure the wrist pins have the correct clearance.Have the crankshaft measured for wear and buy your bearings from the machine shop. They can determine if the shaft needs to be ground undersize. They won't do it unless it needs it. If the shaft has undersize bearings they can furnish the correct bearings. It's possible it may have been ground undersize. Have them do a valve job. If the valves are getting thin 1/32" replace them. If the guides are worn replace them. I would also replace the valve springs. Then you engine will last a long time . Hal
