Where will I find the relief valve on the transfer pump on 333 cat engine. I am having trouble getting the D6C 74A to start. The fuel is getting to the nozzles but is not spraying. |

| | Bob and Jim> Engine was working until I took off the injector lines. With the nozzles out of combustion chamber and connected to injector lines, as a test, they still won't spray, but seems as if there is lots of pressure getting to the nozzles. Wayne A |

| Wayne, it sounds to me like the rack might not be moving and is stuck in the fuel off position. To check remove the small diamond shaped cover from the accessorie drive housing. It's held on with two 5/16" bolts and is were you measure rack travel. Put a short pencil or something against the rack end and have someone pull the throttle on and off a few times. If the rack doesn't move something is jammed up inside. Could be a barrel and plunger. W hat are you using for fuel? Later Bob |

| The relief valve is in the pump housing, 15/16 hex plug. Later Bob |

| Bob > Am I not correct in that relief valve is not going to fix his problem. If the injectors are not cracking (spraying) it is in the main pump. Relief is only on the fuel supply side. You know more than I and answred his question but is he not going to need more help..jm |
