d 4 7u injector problem

1). low compression No. 3 cyl. 2). leaking injector. 3). worn cam lobe, making timing late and /or incomplete injection. Check valve clearance. Sometimes a weak cylinder can be made to fire if the injection timing is advanced in that cylinder. Before messing around like that I would check compression first, the put a dial indicator on the cam to make sure everything is up to snuff.

Move the injector to another cylinder and see if the problem follows. Can do the same with the injection pump also. This should confirm whether it is an injection problem or not.
