I have a JCB 3CIII TLB. Engine is kinda tired. It's a Leyland. Anyone know of a driect bolt in replacement ot a US source for engine parts?

Thanks

Rick

I'm in the UK and there are plenty of spares for those engines, those were great engines good starters and reliable, they have wet liners so an in frame overhaul is not a problem as long as your crank is OK, what is wrong with yours, the engine that replaced that after JCB could not rely on a supply from Leyland due to strikes etc was the Perkins 4.236 but it was never used in a manual drive machine so I am not sure if it would marry up to the bell housing of the 3C,maybe a call to your local engine reconditioner may help out with an overhaul kit,it's a Leyland 4/98 3.8Lt.

Thanks AJ. Mine is shuttle shift. I will have to cheak that out. Getting parts here in the US isn't easy. I may have to order from the UK. That's why I was asking about a bolt in replacement. If I'm going to keep it I would like to have a local parts source. My nearest JCB dealer is 130 miles one way.

Thanks again.

270 leyland tractor uses a 3.8L engine, they're everywhere and quite reasonable, with a little forthought you couls easily adapt a cummins B3.6 turbo in there too.

Matt at the price of the Cummins I could just as well scrap the JCB. If I can keep the darn thing going for 2 more years I'll trade it.
