I just bought a case 580 super e 4wd and want to use it tomorrow but have a few questions before I do. 1st, where do you check the oil on the 4wd gear case (front axle) and does it take 85w90? Does it take hytran or gear oil in the transmission and where do you check that? Finally does a the shuttle use hydraulic transmssion oil? Thanks Greg |

| The trans-axle and front axle takes 85W90 gear oil,the trans-axle has a dipstick near the shift lever, the front axle has three oil compartments, the diff and the two reduction hubs, those have level plugs, the shuttle takes Case TCH or a good quality Hy-Trans oil,the shuttle is checked with the engine running on low idle, the transmission in fourth gear the shuttle in neutral with the brakes secure.
Good luck
AJ
PS The hydraulic takes Case TCH or Hy-Trans,engine stopped equipment on the ground, backhoe cylinders half way
