I KNOW this is just like wishing in the wind but someone MIGHT hear of one.. Have a need for a complete DW 15 CAT scraper, somethin that can be put back into service.. Located in Tennessee but will make the trip if we can locate a uint that can be put back to work...

jm,
I junked 2 of them about 20 years ago , I
did keep the cable control units off of both
of them.
Reason we junked them was we could not get
engine parts for them almost 30 years ago,so
they sat here for years and finally had to go.

My buddy at the local recycle yard here in central Ga has a real good(for its age) DW15 tractor-scraper combo that came in for scrap. The tractor runs good and would take very little work to get going or be a good restoration project tractor. He set it to the side because it was way too good to cut up.Let me know if you are interested and I will put you together somehow. This tractor was county owned and has been fairly well took care of.

Haley I was thinking I would have to go North.. Yes I am intrested.. You can click on e-mail me here on this site.. Send me a phone number and I will call you any time.. Sounds like something that will work.. Jerry.

That is strange.. I thought the engine was nothing but the old 9U d6 Engine.. ? And even then CAT has always been good to supply old parts. You may be telling me something I don,t know.. My need is want to load the machine with a track hoe but have to go into a very rough place with the dirt. Looked at off road type trucks but so far all have been over 10 grand. really want one of the little CAT 25 s but have just give up, they are too pricy for this project. Won,t use this thing 5 days a year.

The DW10 used the 9U engine but the 15 uses a different one with a big intake on the left sied.I am pretty sure it is a D333.I will contact you through E-Mail.

jm,
Both of these DW's had 744 inch engines ,but
one had typical external fuel system , the other
had much of the fuel system internal . Cat says
they never made an orphan , don't you believe
it. Head gasket etc were not available 30 years
ago.

Thanks to both of you.. Sounds like I should be looking for a DW 10 but, Haley sure want to look into the one in Georgia. Send me an e-mail with a phone number..I had a guy tell me about one that somehow they had put power steering on. Said it was pretty nice up in central KY but so far he has not located it either.

Well Haley turns out he thinks it would be cheaper to sell the old scraper and let you build the pond but right now he just dosen,t want to price it..He thinks it is something to save so if you hear of another one let me know..
