TD6 serial number

I have a td6 crawler, with a home made 6 way hydraulic dozer. I am planning to sell it, but would like to determine the year it was built. Where is the serial number located, and once I find it, where is there a listing that I could match it to? I have replaced the bendix in the starter a few times, and wonder if this is common, or possibly a ring gear issue? Runs nice, but needs pins and bushings.

Hi doug-Serial no is on the right lower side of dash I think. Go to Research & info on this site for serial no list vs year.
