I am getting erratic behavior from the reverser system. It seems to be attempting to remain partially in forward all of the time so when you put it in reverse the two clutches are "fighting" each other. I have been told that when the clutches themselves fail, they just slip so the machine will not move.
Are there any O-rings or gaskets that are prone to failure that allow some pressure to be applied tom the forward clutch?
Is it perhaps the Forward-Reverse valve that is worn? I see no O-rings on this valve in the parts schematic, so I am wondering if this part is prone to failure?
Call me lazy, but is it possible to remove the reverser valve assembly without removing the radiator, then engine, then the entire reverser?
