Mit. BD2F steering problem

I was pushing a sycamore stump last week and had dug quite a hole to get it out. The right track seem to lock up and I thought I had a rock stuck in the undercarriage but that wasn't the case. It is a direct drive and I started inching it back and forth and the track freed. This happened 2 or 3 times. When I carried it to the shed there was no problem except for an occasional popping noise from the track. The dozer has a new undercarriage (sprockets, rails, rollers and pads. I would appreciate any suggestion as to the problem.

Get someone to move the dozer real slow while you walk close to the track. Keep an eye out for frequency of pops and/or location of track when noise occurs. My Mitsu gets small rocks jammed between the rail and pins and this is the noise I get.

The if the tracks are clear the nightmare begins, you may have knocked a tooth off either the bull pinion or the bull gear itself. I haven't heard of anyone having this problem.

Good luck.
