1000c Crawler Motor

Taking the motor apart on my 1000c crawler because I suspected a blown head gasket. I took the valve cover off and noticed the a push rod missing on and intake valve. It was down in the hole so it is probably broken. I aslo took the head bolts off to pull the head. We were unable to break the head loose from the block. We sprayed some lube on it to soak over night. Where can I get a push rod? Is it the same as a Massey 55 or 555? What is the torque order and lbs on the head bolts? Any help would be great.

spin the motor over with the starter...compression will pop head loose IF you havent missed any more headbolts under the sludge.

yes it is the same old contenial used in the 55 massey And I relly think either gas and disel will innerchange but not sure.

Herm,

Heads are rarely stuck tight, did you get
the short studs on the inj pump side?
Head bolt torque is 140. Rocker arm caps go
on with the cup side to the rocker not to the
valve stem.

With push rod out of place , look for lifter
to be out of bore in block.

If you have questions , send me an email as
I have several 1000 tractors.
