ID of an International crawler

Can anyone ID the model of IH crawler in this pic? This was taken in the spring of 1973 as my parents were having the basement dug for the house we built. I'm directing the operator at age 5.

Eric I have been around ih all my life and that does just not jump out at me. Prior to 1973 guessing it might be say 10 years old just looking at it, by the size would be a 150 loader but the lift arms just don,t look right. Had several old td9 crawler loaders but again it just does not look right. Also dead give away is the sland grill makes it somethin older. Maybe someone can help. Would help to be close enough to get a god look at the front idler, ih always used what we call a porkchop idler mount on earlier idlers and can,t be sure yours has such.

How do you know it's an IH crawler? Doesn't look like it to me. I don't know of any IH crawler that has a front grill with with that vertical arc and bottom that is more forward then the top.
I know that neither the 500 or any of the TD crawlers have a grille like that.

That front grille is pretty unique and distinctive. I don't know what it is, but can see what it isn't.
I don't know of any IH or Oliver/Cletrac that has grille like that. In fact, not many crawlers or wheel tractors that have a grille more forward at the bottom then the top and curved. A few are close like some Cockshuts, Huber,Graham-bradley, Co-op, Friday, Oliver-Cletrac Hg,Oliver 60/70, Monarch,Love, Allis Chalmers 50 crawler, . . .

Looks like you hit the "nail on the head."

Thanks for the replies guys! A Cat it is! Any idea on year model range? I thought it could be an IH based on pics I saw on the King of Obsolete"s site over the years.

Funny how if I had a pic of my five year old anywhere near that equimpent my aging parents would scold me for being irresponsible. I guess grandkids are more valuable than the originals.

I was just five at the time but spent hours watching that guy run the dozer. Then later when a guy dug the septic with a back hoe, I watched too.

You guys sure made me feel better. I did not want to argue with the guy but like I said did not look like any IH loader I ever saw. I feel better knowing I was not so dumb after all.
Always learning on this site..
