500c won't go forward

Before I changed the filters and fluid the crawler would not move. I changed the filters and put new oil in the reverser/transmission now it will go backwards but nothing forwards. I am thinking the directional reverser valve is stuck won't shift? I verified the linkage is moving and even disconneted the crawlwer linkage and moved by hand and the same result. The crawler hadn't moved for several years. Anybody have a parts break down or advice how to fix? Thanks

I don't know if it's the same as a 500E or not, but basic troubleshooting applies here. Does it have a trans pressure gauge? Is the pressure the same in reverse as in forward? If no, that could mean a leaking clutch piston, blown gasket or some other defect with the internal oil circuitry. If yes, that could indicate stripped clutch plates, smoked clutch or some kind of internal breakage. All this aside, I think you've gone as far as you can without dismantling it.
