I know this is a vague question and there is almost no information but how much should an older 4500 backhoe go for at auction. It appears to be a farmers and stored indoors. Thanks, Mike

I paid $5K in Dec 2010 for my '66 4500 TLB Diesel Power shifting tranny.

Ok front tires, Rears all cracked and worn but still "usable".

Came with ice chains.

Welds all over on loader and hoe.

If you get it for $4K and it is a diesel you will have done darn good in my opinion.

Looks like the 740 loader (I think it may be the only one it comes with and is a strong one) and a 755 backhoe (the biggest). The standard size rear tires (not the optional bigger ones) and the rubber looks good. The front pie weights (which it doesn't have) are a must, in my opinion, with that size hoe. Can't tell if it's gas or diesel or what transmission it has from the pics. Looks in better condition that mine when I bought it.

That's a pretty broad question. Gas or diesel? I think there is a big difference. Manual or power reverser transmission? I think the power is great for loader work but can cost big time if it is slipping. Leaks, pins, tires, wheel weights? 755 or 723 backhoe?
