The JCB 807B had a manual adjustable two piece boom, the two retaining pins that secure the top section had to be removed and the top section could be moved in or out and the pins replaced, the 807C known as the power slide had a hydraulic clamp to hold the boom top section in a runner, release the clamp and using the stick the boom could be adjusted in or out to the required position and locked in place at the touch of a lever.

It was called apower slide? I thought I had heard someware it was called extenda boom. Was there a decal on it?
That said so? I am cleaning up a 807 and am putting all new decals on it so I want to be correct

No the power slide was the 807C and it did have a decal saying so, the 807B with that type two piece was standard and did not have a decal.a lot of machines back then used that type two piece boom as standard.
