In the last several years I have had 2 people call me with the same problem. If your tractor has a PTO it needs to come out (9 3/8 inch bolt total). However neither one of those 2 tractors had a PTO so the complete top had to come off and the snap ring and hydraulic pump drive shaft had to be removed first. More questions? J. |

| Hi john. I happen to be one of your students back several years as I had an OC6 gas .. When all the bolts were out of the cover I backed off the brake adjusters enough to raise the cover about 3 inchs Then block it up on each side. there are slots to get at the adjusters. If backed off to far parts may fall in the gear box, be carefull. Now reach in with a GOOD snap ring pliers to free up the shaft. Dont drop the snap ring....Now screw in a three eights bolt and pull out the Hyd, drive shaft. Could be another size not sure. Have fun,I did. when it was all back together I had myself a large brandy then i could relax. THANKS JOHN FOR ALL YOUR HELP charlie.k. All most forgot. could I have your phone number? charlie k. |
