69 Ford no forward

Hi I have a 69 ford 5500 with a 6 speed shuttle shift that moves only in reverse, it has no forward, can anyone give me an idea on where to start to solve this? I do have the manual; Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Most likely has a worn out forward clutch. I have seen tractors that have piled up a directional clutch and it will not release. They will drive in that direction only and also in neutral aswell. Then when in the opposite direction they will lock up and not drive at all, just load up the torque converter.
