I have a Case 310 dozer that has not ran in about 3 years. Trying to decide what to do with it.Are they valuable as a collector item, worth more for parts,or better off sold for scrap metal? Can provide more info if needed, but any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated.

It depends on the letter designation. They were build for many years. If it is a early one like the 310c it is worth scrap price. The later ones like the 310g diesel are still worth money.

I missed buying a 310G diesel with a 6-way blade and it sold for $5500. So, they're still worth something. I later bought a different one that needed all new rollers - and paid $3000.

on the left side toolbox that is next to the seat on the out side there might be a plate that will tell you. It was a bad place to put them so many are missing. Pictures would help us tell you what series it might be. It would have the 148 cid gas engine in it if it is a gas. they are about 45 hp I have a 310c that runs good that I paid scrap price for. They are getting harder to get parts for because that series was only built 1 year and they were greatly improved as the years went on.

working on the pictures, doesnt seem to be a rare collector item.If I were to scrap it,should i rescue any parts?

I personally would sell it to someone who has one and wants a parts machine for scrap price. Then everyone is happy. If you were closer I would make you an offer just to have it around. Put it up on the photo classifides here and see what you can get for it.

It is listed as 5,000 lbs with out an attachment. That would put it around 500-700 for scrap. If the parts are not all worn on it I would guess it would be worth 700 but that is my opinion and in my area.

I'm also in central MI and would love to take a look at it. I also have a loader that fits it in case anyone is interested.

Olddozer;I know a year has passed but,do you still have 310 Case?
I have aquired a 310 fixxerupper and need parts that are at least repairable.
If you have any parts,or know of another retired unit, please let me know.
Thanks for your time.
