What is the proper sequence for timing a 1954 cat d2 pony motor? Also how do you find TDC on pony, and which cylinder is no 1,operators L or R?I"m familiar with the M marks on the flywheel and mag gear,do you simply line these marks up,with the no1 cylinder at TDC? Also anyone know where I can get some clutch parts? I"m not even sure what the part is called,it"s visible when you pull off the inspection/oiler plate in front of the gear shifter. The little metal ears that press onto the clutch plate, and are linked to the throwout bearing with plates attached with pins.Ring any bells? The connector plates are gone from one of the little ears. My terminology might be wrong,as I ain"t no mechanic and ain"t got no manual. Thanks
