310E vs 310G

What are the main differences between the two machines? Taking into consideration the comparable prices, as for age, which would be the perfered one? Both would have 4wd and extendable hoe and have similar hours and be in the same general condition.

Good mornin 4020, had some questions about my 310D once. Found what I needed at John Deere's web site. Tag on construction equipment, then "non-current" models. Hope this helps. Ken

4020guy,I've had both, There's not much difference between the two,Except the G has the new cab design with two doors that open out making it easier to get in and out, Much better vision from the seat! The mechanicals are about the same. I believe JD just needed to make an upgrade as the E style goes all the way back to the 80's...HTH.....Jim in N M
