John Deere 450G

I am looking at several late model 450 G dozers. I need information on anything I should look for and opinions on torque converters vs. direct drive. I appreciate your responses.

I think they are the best dozer ever made. If you are looking to do fine grading around buildings I would go with a torque converter machine. I worked for a JD dealer for years we mostly sold direct drive machines to loggers. they really didn't have much problems one thing I would look at is antifreeze condition and open the oil fill cap on the engine and look for white slime. the engine likes to get pin holes in the liners.
