Cat E70B was covered by flood waters, to several feet over the top of the boom. Anyone know where I can find procedures for draining & repairing damages?

Once the water has subsided, change the engine oil and filter. Drain a small amount of oil from the hyd tank. If oil drained from hyd tank is clean leave it for now if white from water change oil and filters. Drain and check the swing drive, if clean oil comes out first leave if white from water change. Check swing bearing grease trough, try to siphon off any water on top of grease, if you can't clean out and replace grease. Final drives should be able to keep water out.

Floodwaters can come in all kinds of configurations (consistencies?? contents??)...
If running floodwaters, you have the question of how much fine silt/sand/etc carried into anywhere water reached...
If sitting backwater, or just low place, filled up with heavy rain, generally much less chance of grinding grit in whatever water reached...

Where are you located.. Drop me an e-mail and I will give you a call Lots of experience..Jerry
