My Bobcat 610 works fine in regular use, but I just got a McMillan hydraulic post hole driller and made a mount to fit it to the machine. The hydaulic specs on the auger match the bobcat 610 specs. I've never had any need for the auxiliary hydraulics before, so this is the first time I've tried them out. Two problems:
1) Hardly any power for the auger. It stalls out really easily.
2) The pedal linkage doesn't seem to allow the valve to fully open in both directions. If I max out one direction by adjusting the yoke, it hits the floor plate in the other or doesn't reach full extension.
My most fundamental question is whether there is any reasonable way to check the hydraulic flow and pressure short of using the hydraulic tester shown in the manual. For flow, maybe someone can tell me how long it takes to raise the dirt buck fully at full throttle, or some other point of calibration. For pressure, where best to tap into the system. I do have a pressure gauge I can adapt to most fittings.
