Best way to clean off top of final drives etc.

I have a couple of minor leaks on my 931B that I'm hoping I can fix without having to take the whole hydraulics apart. The top of the final drive and everything under the seat is covered with oil soaked dirt and I want to clean it all off so I can better pin point the leak(s). I'm worried that if I use a pressure washer, I'll get water inside the cases and dry brake compartments. Would it be better to use an air compressor with a blow gun? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Dave
 
With all the covers on power washer with the proper detergent is what I"d use,blow off with compressed air,remove drain plugs from clutch housings and blow out any water that got in
