I have a real clean JD 440 Dozer, has 6way blade, motor has a pretty recent overhaul, the steering clutches and brakes have been all gone over. Has roll cage, needs nothing. How much is a little dozer like this selling for today?

It depends on what engine is in it,Detroit diesel or the gas 2cyl? Reverser? What's the undercarriage like? What's the location? 10k is somewhat optimistic for this part of the world.
That machine would bring around 5/6 thou here,if it's in good shape.7 if you found someone wanting it bad enough.

If as good as you say I would guess up or down a little from $10K wouild be realistic. They were good little Crawlers and still are according to your prospect. $10k is a down payment "Maybe" on such a machine now. Check the Track Rollers real close before you decide...[$10k-$10,000.00]

Below is a list of 440 crawlers that have sold on ebay in the last year. I bought one and then wanted to know what they were really selling for so I started saving all of the auctions involving 440 crawlers. Some people consider ebay to be a good indication of what something is worth, others don't feel that way. Please forgive the text formating, I copied it from a speadsheet and just tried to clean it up a little.

Hope this helps you decide what yours is worth.
