One injector hanging up on startup

317 JD skidloader with 2.4 engine. On startup one injector hangs up for a minute or
less and revving up will cause it to work properly.
Any magic potion? I do use Howes or similar in fuel. Or just live with it?

No magic bullet but you can any injector cleaner cleaning fluid such as Wynns diesel injector cleaner, the proper way would be to pull all the injectors and have them serviced at the fuel injection shop rather than be taking the chance of having neat fuel washing the cylinder wall of oil on every start up.

dd one quart of 2 cycle oil to the tank of fuel. if that dont work time for R. and R.

I agree with rusted, put some 2-cycle oil in the fuel. I try to remember to add a couple of ounces to very 5 gallons of diesel in our JD 4600, and it runs flawless.

from what i have researched you should not use 2cycle oil for air cooled engines but rather tcw3 oil made for outboards--formulated to burn cleaner at a lower temperatures
