Planning to replace the final drive seals on a 1963 Allis H3. I have the service manual but I have questions. Do I need to remove the pinion shaft to pull the rear axle? The manual recommends the axle is
removed with an OTC 938 puller with adapter 21P. Does anyone have information on the 21P? My guess is that these are original seals and bearings. I have no indication of a bearing problem but should I plan on
replacing them anyway? I will use the dozer about an hour a month, and mostly just to play. Any advice on the seal service or where to get parts is appreciated. Anyone with 938 puller and adapter for rent or
