Ford 655A backhoe

Where have you looked for one?

It appears they are NLA from New Holland/Ford, however many were universal type. Messick's site says they will allow placing an order and they will try to find one.

Many brands and types of equipment used that type wiper motor. A construction equipment dealer, heavy truck parts store, or some auto parts stores (like NAPA) should be able to match you up with a universal one. You may need to modify a wiring connector on a replacement to match the connector on yours.

Here is a possibility on eBay that might work.

I don't know if my story will help- Working on a CaseIH MX270 farm tractor, I found the wiper motor had gotten half buried in dust, then water, somehow. Searching around I found the same part number available on line much cheaper than the OEM, and it was listed for a Case backhoe. So I got it. I had disassembled and cleaned the original motor, and it didn't work. Neither did the new one! Turned out my temporary testing method had missed a connection. (I can't remember now, but something about the way the wipers are hooked up messed with my mind) I ended up reinstalling the original. The new one is in the box on the shelf, with some wires switched around. You would be welcome to try it, if you were nearby.

Also, as CaseIH is now CNHi, they are consolidating some part numbers, and I find I can get some parts for my red machines at the NH dealer. So I assume the opposite is also possible.

Thanks Ill try the case dealer
