I picked this beast up a few weeks ago and it's something you don't see many of. She runs pretty good and the main bits don't seem to have any wear. The loader and back hoe control leak and I need to rebuild them. Should have my manuals soon hopefully. What kind of fluid do I need for the rear end? I greased all the fittings up well and going to rewire it soon. It was converted to 12v and it has a case g148 motor if I'm not mistaken. A few gauges, maybe new clutch in the future, and some odds and ends is all I need for her to be ready for work. I've been using it a little but with the leaky control spools it's hard to use that stuff for any period of time. Anyone know where to get a rebuild kit? I have old Ford tractors so this thing is a whole new but cool tractor to learn about

I thought i added that info on the [post you made on FB,, but I may have forgotten,, the rear end/trans uses 80/90wt Mineral oil ONLY as any thing with a EP rating has additives that will destroy the braking action of of the turn brake bands

Awesome!! My Facebook stuff has been messing up a lot lately. Everytime they change something stuff hardly works and I can't see posts or stuff doesn't load etc.

I REALLY appreciate the help. I highly doubt the last owners replaced the rear end oil. Hopefully the spool valves won't be too hard to redo.

leaking spool on a control valve is most times just a bad oring,, when you get there I have a step on doing them that will save you scratching your head when they leak worse than before,, not a hard fix just do one at a time

I'll have to work on that next after I get my Ford tractor out of the shop. I gotta dump too much hydraulic fluid in it as it is lol but I think if I get an o ring assortment that should cover what I need o ring wise.

I would go to Case for the o'rings for the spools, the generic o'ring don't last very long,my 2 cents wort.
